Actually we have TWO separate but related goals
Our mission at CME is to dispel myths and hype and provide Education for the Adult Martial Artist. When we started in 1991 there was no publisher out there who wasn't pushing the Chi myth. And also pushing many other myths about subjects like Dim mak, Poison Hands, knockouts and especially Pressure Points.
Today the majority of the Martial Arts community has evolved and now uses standard accepted Modern Western Scientific and Medical explanations to understand and further their arts.
WESTERN Science and Fact are the now basis for the majority of explanations of Martial Arts effects. We truly believe that you can NOT progress unless you have a solid basis to work from and SCIENCE not myth is always the best ground to start your training from .. we are glad that the majority of martial artists have now come to that point of view.
2) Support The QLK Martial arts institute - an organization that is comprised solely of the partners of CME and input from the senior Black Belts of the LOCAL QLK School with the purpose of supporting education and the LOCAL QLK school. To this end profits from CME are used to maintain the CME business and the rest are used to pay for expenses of the LOCAL QLK school, including training equipment, seminars and when ever possible scholarships to enhance students desire to further educational training. [this includes when possible limited college scholarships]
We at CME do not take any personal profit from this company but do file it as a profit making sole company for the IRS because - well it is simply a nightmare to try to explain it to the IRS who is only interested in their share anyway.
Unfortunately with the economy being as it is the money that CME has to work with is variable and sometimes limited but we do appreciate all purchases and hope that you have gotten more value than what you paid for the material because that is our goal - education
