Actually we have TWO separate but related goals
Our mission at Inner Circle is to dispel myths and hype and provide Education for the Adult Martial Artist. When we started in 1991 there was no publisher out there who wasn't pushing the Chi myth. And they were constantly pushing many other myths about subjects like Dim mak, Poison Hands, knockouts and especially Pressure Points.
Today the majority of the Martial Arts community has evolved and now uses standard accepted Modern Western Scientific and Medical explanations to understand and further their arts. We like to think we helped that development evolve and that we will continue to help the MA community move toward rational explanations and actions that turely explain what it going on.
We truly believe that you can NOT progress unless you have a solid basis to work from and that SCIENCE, not myth is always the best way to start and further your training from ...
We are glad that the majority of martial artists have now come to that point of view.
OUR SECOND GOAL: Support The QLK Martial arts institute - an organization that is comprised solely of the partners of Inner Circle with continued input from the senior Black Belts of the LOCAL QLK School (and All QLK schools when logistically possible) with the purpose of encouraging and supporting education (all eduction) and the LOCAL QLK school.
... While every QLK has different ways of paying their bills this is ours and so far in over 30 years we have been able to teach (local) students without every having to charge a single fee for teaching - in some cases we have even provided training materials and uniforms without charge.
To this end profits from Inner Circle sales are used to maintain the Inner Circle business and the rest are used ONLY to pay for expenses of the LOCAL QLK school, including training equipment, seminars.
Furthermore whenever profits make it possible - scholarships are granted to enhance students desire to further educational training. [this includes when possible - limited college and training scholarships]
We at Inner Circle do not take any personal financial profit from this company but note that we do file it as a profit making company for the IRS because - well it is simply a nightmare to try to explain what we really do it to the IRS who is only interested in their share anyway. Besides we don't mind paying a FAIR share of taxes to support this country which gives us so much (we just want that amount to be fair)
Unfortunately with the economy being as it is, the money that Inner Circle has to work with is variable and sometimes limited and we can't always do all the things we want and can't give as many scholarships as we would like - but I want you to know that we do appreciate EVERY purchases and we truly hope that you feel you have gotten more value than what you paid for the material .. because that is our goal - education.
